The Princess Proclaims.....

"My mind went on vacation but now it's back!"

"Mom, when I grow up, I'm going to be a Princess Ballerina Fairy Mermaid Astronaut."

"Mom, I'm really sad right now. I wanted to marry Prince Eric. I want to have a real baby. I want to fall in love."

"Mom, I love learning about God and singing about God. Everyone needs to learn about God!"

"Mom, when we say I Love You to each other, it makes my heart sing!"

"Dad, I have to tell you something. Did you know when you eat, your ears wiggle?"

Toy Story 3

My husband has the first Toy Story on VHS.  The Princess watched a month or so ago and loved it (who doesn't???) so when she saw that Toy Story 3 was coming out soon, she asked if I would take her to see it.  I gave a common parental response...."We'll see."

A week ago I bought tickets online for opening day.  I told her earlier this week and to say she was excited would be an understatement.  "Mom, how many more days until Toy Story 3?"  "Mom, when are we going to see Toy Story 3?"  "Mom, when is it going to be Friday???"  I should know better than to let her know in advance about someething...but I was just as excited as she was!

Yesterday (the anticipated Friday), she woke me up saying "Mom, today is Friday and we are going to go see Toy Story.  Look, I'm all dressed and ready to go."  Ummmm, E," as I squint at the time on the clock..which showed 7:00a.m., "the show doesn't even start until 11:15am."  Obviously, the concept of time is still lost on her. LOL
I'm ready to go Mom!

When is the box office going to open???

After paying a highway-robbery price of $5.25 for a bottle of water, we went and got our seats.  I thought there would be more people there for the first showing, but the theater was only about 1/4 full.  I heard that Toy Story 3 was showing in 3D at another local theatre...so maybe more were going to see that.

Anyway, we loved the movie.  I thought the beginning was a tad slow, but it was funny and we really enjoyed it.  The toys narrowly escaped death but in the end, good triumphed over evil and the tools live for another day (or another sequel).

I took my best girl out to lunch after the movie and then it was home for a quiet afternoon and a dip in the pool to cool off.

All-in-all, a great day with my girl!
