The Princess Proclaims.....

"My mind went on vacation but now it's back!"

"Mom, when I grow up, I'm going to be a Princess Ballerina Fairy Mermaid Astronaut."

"Mom, I'm really sad right now. I wanted to marry Prince Eric. I want to have a real baby. I want to fall in love."

"Mom, I love learning about God and singing about God. Everyone needs to learn about God!"

"Mom, when we say I Love You to each other, it makes my heart sing!"

"Dad, I have to tell you something. Did you know when you eat, your ears wiggle?"

Her new favorite noise........

is grunting. Yep....she grunts...slowly at first...to let us know she's not happy. If we ignore that, she grunts faster...to let us know she's seriously displeased LOL What a Princess.

She is doing so many things now. She seems to have found her hands and feet finally. She also seems to have noticed her toys as well. She was holding a rattle and shaking it yesterday. Not rocket science, I know, but up until a few days ago, she really had no interest in any toys at all. She will swat at her toys on her play mat and she actually tries to scoot a bit when you turn her over on her back. She absolutely does not like lying down. Whether she is on her changing table, in her bed or in her bouncy seat, she is constantly trying to lift herself into an upright position. I have a feeling she will bypass crawling and go right to walking.

When we go for walks, she is really enthralled with trees and plants....especially when they blow in the wind. I think she may become a horticulturist :o)

She is sleeping through the night...about 7-8 hours average which has been really nice. She is teething so I'm sure that will change, but for now N and I are enjoying having some quiet time in the evening and getting a good nights sleep.

That's all for now. I'm probably getting her pictures taken next week. She will be 4 months old on Friday :o)

Things she's doing......

what a difference a week makes. The Princess is really starting to show more of her personality. She knows what she wants...and she wants it NOW! *Wonder where she gets that from ;o)* Laying down is no longer acceptable. She wants to be sitting up or standing up. She holds her head up really well now but it's still a bit wobbly. The biggest accomplishment, to her sleepless mommy, is that The Princess sleeps between 6-8 hours at a stretch at night. She still wakes up once around 3:30 - 4:30am to eat, but goes right back to sleep for a few hours. The funniest thing is that she is starting to *talk* all the time. I love having conversations with her.

She truly is a joy and a blessing. N and I thank God every day for allowing us to bring her home with us.

I love my daddy Posted by Hello
Is that thing turned on? Posted by Hello

Easter

Today was The Princess' first Easter. We went to church, where The Princess decided to let Pastor Mike know that she was ready for church to end by giving several shrill cries. Pastor acknowledged the Princess, which made the congregation chuckle, then finished up his announcements.

N had to work today, so we did not have anything special planned. It was a warm but cloudy afternoon so The Princess and I went for a walk on the beach. I took off her socks and let her toes touch the cool sand. I wasn't sure what her reaction would be....and she didn't really have one. I took it as a good sign that she didn't scream....like her big brother J did whenever I tried to put his feet in the sand or the grass.

The Princess is sleeping through the night...for the time being. It seems like she might be starting to teethe, so I anticipate many more sleepless nights, or at least fewer hours of sleep, in the upcoming months. N, as usual, will sleep through everything :o)

That's all for now.
