A Girl And Her Dolphin

Ever since going to the Clearwater Aquarium this spring during the Grandma Invasion, E has fallen in love with dolphins.  A few weeks ago we saw that Flipper (the version from the 1960's) was on a cable channel so she began watching the show everyday (well not anymore as of today but that is another post). 

During the daytime she often sees the PillowPets commercial on tv.  Can you guess which animal just happens to be offered by PillowPets?  Yep.  A dolphin.  She asked me a few times if I could get her one so I gave her another standard parental answer "Maybe you will get one for your birthday or Christmas."  She really seemed ok with that answer.

I've really noticed a HUGE improvement in E's behavior over the past few weeks.  She controls her temper more, she is more agreeable at bed time, she tries really hard to listen when I tell her something, she doesn't argue about everything...like I said, a HUGE improvement.

What...Is It Christmas?

 That's what E said when she opened the package from Grandma today. Once again, Grandma hit a home run. I didn't take pictures of all the stuff, but today's loot included an awesome Angel costume, including wings, that E just L O V E S, two "Where's Waldo"-type books (Little Mermaid and Wizard of Oz), some markers, some more jewelery (with E, you can never go wrong with Jewelry LOL), a few dresses, a pair of capri and a t-shirt. Great haul Mom!! :o)

Gifts from Grandma

Another package arrived today from my mom. Inside were some goodies from my mom's friends, Ron & Diane (who always find great stuff at garage sales) and lots more from my mom.

Jolly The Walrus and the twin of a frog my mom sent earlier.  My mom said this frog was missing his sister so he hopped into the box.  E thought that was hysterical!

As usual, E was thrilled...and thankful...for the gifts her grandma and her grandma's friends send her.  She had to call my mom right away and thank her and then it was off to draw her grandma a pretty picture with her new crayons and play with all her goodies.

Christmas in October?

The Princess received another package today from my mom.  What a treasure trove.  I think E now has her fall wardrobe (it stays fairly warm until December where we are so short sleeve shirts will still be wearable).  Plus, my mom's friends again sent a few garage sale gifts as well.   E was so thrilled and said "Wow, that's a lot of gifts.  I'm so lucky."

These items are all gently used and we are thankful for my mom and her friends for thinking of Emma and looking out for items they know she would like.  Thanks again Mom!!

Gifts from Grandma

My mom likes to send E small packages every month or so with a few gifts in them. Today E received one of Grandma's packages and as usual, there were plenty of goodies. Lately, though, the goodies haven't all been from Grandma. My mom has friends who garage sale every Thursday and are always on the lookout for things to give to my mom to send down to E. Today's package included a few things from these special friends of my mom's.
